GreatGold – During February GreatGold.fm Internet Radio includes traditional Valentine songs and tunes for sweethearts, as well as music that we usually play to honor those musicians and singers who have birthdays in February, and the month of February finds Black History Month on the calendar. A perfect time to point out the activities and accomplishments of families and individuals within the Black ethnicity.
In the romance category, we have selected a number of versions of songs that emit memories of romantic moments, attitudes, and Valentine’s Day kissing, hugging, and remembrances. Songs from our Valentine’s Day library includes special tunes by Chaka Kahn, Carly Simon, Julie London, Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, Anita Baker, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, Art Pepper, Herb Alpert, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. Their recorded performances are interspersed periodically throughout each day and night of February at the rate of about one per hour, along with other songs of romantic activities now and then.
For the singers and musicians being honored with extra plays during their birth month in February, see February Birthday Stars. To See more information about Black History Month see the links on our February front page.
