GREATGOLD – Phyllis McGuire, the lead singer and younger sister of Dorothy and Christine McGuire, has died at the age of 89 in Las Vegas. The McGuire Sisters were a huge hit from 1952-68, from the time they first appeared on the CBS Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts television program on black and white tv back in 1952. Phyliss was the only remaining original member of the McGuire Sisters at the time of her death, December 29, 2020.

The McGuire Sisters’ hit recordings included “Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight”, “Sincerely”, “Open Up Your Heart (And Let The Sunshine In)”, “Something’s Got To Give”, “Sugartime”, “Volare”, “May You Always”, “Just for Old Time’s Sake”, and “Just Because”, and numerous others.
